The 44th IEEE International Conference on Distributed Computing Systems (ICDCS 2024) invites tutorial proposals from both active researchers and experienced industry practitioners. These proposals should focus on either emerging or established research topics that are likely to captivate the broad interest of the ICDCS community, as outlined in the Call for Papers available at https://icdcs2024.icdcs.org/call-for-papers/.
Guidelines for Tutorial Proposals
Proposals should be limited to 3 pages and must include the following components:
- Title
- Abstract (maximum of 150 words)
- Rationale: Explain why you consider the subject to be engaging and significant for the ICDCS community. Have similar tutorials been presented by the same authors or elsewhere?
- Content: Provide an outline of the tutorial in bullet-point format, including references and estimated time allocations for each topic (no more than 1 page).
- Materials: Describe any materials the tutors intend to distribute, including size, media format, etc. Please note that the materials themselves need not be provided in the proposal.
- Target audience and prerequisites (up to 100 words): Specify the anticipated participants’ backgrounds and any required prior knowledge. Outline the intended learning outcomes and estimate the number of participants expected.
- Proposed tutorial length: Each tutorial will be a half-day tutorial unless a strong case can be made for a full-day tutorial.
- Expected enrollment.
- Brief biographies of the tutors, highlighting their relevant experience on the tutorial topic.
- An extended abstract of the accepted tutorials (2 to 4 pages) will be included in the ICDCS 2024 proceedings.
